| IPV6 Date of Release 1st July 2007 |
Aussiewide is proud to release our IPV6
product to all Aussiewide broadband customers. At this stage we can offer
customers an Ethernet service in our co-location facility in Brisbane, shortly
we will offer it on our co-location facility
in Cairns and Townsville. Customers can also take advantage of a FREE
service from a company in the USA Tunnel Broker
(www.tunnelbrooker.net)
Currently IPv6 is available via two methods:
All data transferred by IPV6 is
still counted as record your monthly data downloads by measuring
the total bytes delivered
to your service. Using the Tunnel Broker mythology, the
IPv6 packets are encaped into IPv4 packets in order to move
IPv6 data between your end system and the tunnel broker service
you decide to use.
Accordingly, data downloads measured using IPv6 will result in
higher reading then when compared to a download of the
same quantity of payload data using the current ipv4 schema.
